DK-Shield Completes M1 Milestone, Begins M2 Phase

DK-Shield, the security subsidiary of DK Group, has completed its M1 milestone and started the M2 development phase.

DK-Shield is building an open-source XDR that detects and responds to threats across endpoints and the network on a single platform. The codebase is planned for release under the Apache 2.0 license — DK-Shield's own product principle that code open to scrutiny is the strongest form of security.

Progress through M1

  • Defined the unified endpoint + network XDR architecture and completed the M1 scope
  • Completed research Waves 1–5 (56 documents in total)
  • Completed the product and business strategy document

What comes next

In the M2 phase, DK-Shield will continue implementing core detection and response capabilities on top of the architecture finalized in M1. Progress updates will continue to be shared on this news page.
